Trade is a critical component to the success of our industry and contributes significantly to our ability to expand manufacturing and employment both here and abroad, and to achieve scientific and technological innovations that benefit consumers worldwide.
Objective
Our goal is to advance the global alignment of cosmetic regulations and regulatory frameworks to improve market access and eliminate barriers to trade.
Strategy
CA’s strategy is to engage in the CETA Regulatory Cooperation Forum, Canada/U.S. Regulatory Cooperation Counsel, and Treasury Board Secretariat’s Regulatory Modernization initiative as well as developments around USMCA and TPP-11. CA is also a participant in the International Cooperation on Cosmetics Regulations (ICCR) and International Association Collaboration (IAC).
