Thank you, Dee Diaz! Welcome, Susan Larkin!
As Dee Diaz steps down as President and CEO, we are deeply grateful for her extraordinary championship of Look Good Feel Better’s mission, inspiring leadership and vision during her tenure. She truly embodies the values of ‘Better Together’, which earned her tremendous respect and commitment from our valued stakeholders. Her ability to ignite our partners helped to ensure that during tumultuous times such as the pandemic, LGFB was able to thrive. The LGFB that we embrace today -after 33 years since it began, is one that has benefited from Dee’s transformational strategies, change agency, and her deep compassion for those we serve. On behalf of the Board of Directors, we thank Dee for all she has done for and with LGFB and wish her well in her next chapter.
With that said, I am equally proud to be announcing that through the Board of Director’s review and recruitment process, we are thrilled that Susan Larkin has been named the incoming President & CEO of Look Good Feel Better effective February 1st 2025. Over the last 7 years, Susan has been LGFB’s Chief Operating Officer leading our Program and Marketing teams. She has been instrumental in leading LGFB’s evolution- not just with our legacy programming addressing the appearance related side effects of treatment- but now with our ‘Feel Better’ programs. Our Feel Better programming will be critical to meeting the mental health and wellness needs of those facing a cancer diagnosis and its treatment but also into survivorship. Through her vision, we have also evolved the way we inspire and engage the community in our mission which has led to greater impact for LGFB’s work.
Susan is a seasoned and respected leader having held senior roles with Canadian Red Cross, UNICEF Canada, and SickKids Foundation to name a few. She has demonstrated proven success and acumen in the roles she has held in fundraising, programs, marketing, communications and operations. As a mission driven and patient-centered advocate, she is well positioned to not only continue LGFB’s vision but also help amplify its trajectory. Please join us in congratulating Susan Larkin as she takes the helm to ensure those facing cancer can continue to count on LGFB to be there for them now and tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Lynda Rose
