The video series will engage MP’s from across the political spectrum that CA works with with on issues important to our industry. Through a discussion with CA President Darren Praznik, it is intended to get to know a little more about these political leaders, their backgrounds, the realities of their life as an MP, how they think, and what is important to them.
Dropping by our studio in Mississauga on a snowy Friday afternoon between flights on his way home to Alberta, 33-year-old Conservative MP Damien Kurek shared his recent experience as Vice-Chair of the House of Commons Environment Committee in its review of the modernization of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA). MP Kurek, working with Liberal Parliamentary Secretary Terry Duguid, was key in addressing many of the issues raised with amendment coming out of the Senate.
