The following bulletin has been added to The Natural Health Products Site Licensing and Good Manufacturing Practices Inspection Bulletin website:
Bulletin 8: Clarifications for amendment and notification site licence applications for natural health products.
This bulletin explains what documents are needed when submitting amendment or notification applications to Health Canada for a site licence. The goal is to help ensure faster decisions and more transparency in the process.
Applicants must not start any new or changed activities until Health Canada has officially updated their licence. Also, amendment applications must be submitted separately from renewal applications.
The service standards are:
- Amendments: 35 to 95 business days
- Notifications: 15 business days
To meet these timelines, it’s best to send in your application at least 65 business days before your licence expires, or after submitting your renewal.
