On June 5, 2025, Environment and Climate Change Canada announced that they are piloting a simplified approach for tracking compliance unit (CU) balances for each of the Compliance Unit Trading System (CUTS) participants under the VOC Concentration Limits for Certain Products Regulations. The goal of the pilot program is to simplify compliance. Companies participating in the program should have received a summary of their CUs directly. Any members with feedback on the program should contact ECCC at Produits-Products@ec.gc.ca.
