Through the International Cooperation on Cosmetics Regulation (ICCR), global regulators have established a set of general principles designed to foster globally compatible approaches to digital cosmetic labeling. These principles are intended to enhance consumer safety, transparency, and innovation by helping consumers easily access product information through digital channels. Additionally, they promote regulatory alignment across jurisdictions to minimize unnecessary complexities and barriers within the global cosmetics market. As digital tools play an increasingly vital role in how consumers gather information, this framework serves as a shared foundation for the ongoing evolution of e-labeling in the cosmetics sector.
