In commemoration of the past 20 years of collaborative dialogue and engagement at ICCR, CA Canada, in partnership with JCIA and the Japanese regulatory authorities MHLW and PMDA, produced a celebratory video, which was revealed at the Joint Annual Meeting Dinner in Japan. The video featured reflections and well wishes from past contributors from both regulators and industry, all of whom played significant leadership roles in shaping and guiding the ICCR journey from its beginnings to what it is today.
The commemorative video can be viewed HERE. Hosted by CA’s Darren Praznik, the video includes reflections from:
- Founding contributors Francine Lamoriello (former PCPC) and Linda Katz (former US FDA)
- Past ICCR Steering Committee Chairs Yasuda Naoyuki (former MHLW, Japan), Salvatore D’Acunto (European Commission) and Paul Chowhan (Health Canada)
- Past Secretariat Lead, Petra Leroy Cadova (European Commission), and
- Long-time industry participant Odile De-Silva (Cosmetics Europe, International Committee)
Thanks to Luca Phillips and the CA production team for pulling together this tribute video. The feature was very well received, and it was great to hear the many past contributors shared their thoughts on the dialogue forum that was initially created and what it represents for the future.
Finally, at the Joint Annual Meeting dinner, CA Canada and JCIA also shared a special tribute to long-standing ICCR contributor (and member) Carl Geftken (representing IBA) who is the last remaining ICCR contributor to have participated in ALL 20 ICCR Annual meetings, since their inception. Carl indicated earlier in the meeting that this would be the end of his journey with ICCR, as he passes on the ICCR torch at IBA to Shannon Hess. Thank you Carl for the past 20 years of contributions to the ICCR mission. Your thoughtful engagement over the years has been invaluable in helping to shape and grow ICCR over the years!
