CA and the International Collaboration on Cosmetics Safety (ICCS) science contributions were featured at this year’s Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry Europe (SETAC Europe) meeting. CA’s VP and Director of Science, Regulation and Market Access Beta Montemayor joined over 25 CA and ICCS member representatives to share and advance scientific developments and initiatives for New Assessment Methods (NAMs) and Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA).
Interest in NAMs and NGRA continues to grow – with close to 20 Platform and related Poster Sessions featuring developments in these areas. ICCS and the cosmetic industry continues to gain prominence and recognition for the work our sector is leading.
Topic highlights, featuring our industry contributions included alternatives to acute and chronic toxicity testing,
environmental NGRA, biodegradation and environmental fate, exposure modelling, mobility, and more.
