On Septembre 25, 2026, the Government of Canada notified stakeholders of an update to the Substance Search Tool. This update added two new lists: Conclusions of the Assessment of Existing Substances (Chemicals and Polymers) and Conclusions of the Assessment of Existing Substances (Living Organisms). The new lists provide access to the conclusions of assessments conducted under the Chemicals Management Plan, helping members identify the Government’s assessment conclusions and the substances to which they apply.
This update is part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to improve transparency and access to substance-related information.
