Bulletin n° 9 : Procédure d'examen des demandes relatives aux produits de santé naturels

Date de publication : 24 mars 2026

Updated Guidance for Industry on Preparing and Submitting Summary Reports for Marketed Drugs and Natural Health Products, effective Octobre 1, 2026

Health Canada’s Natural and Non-prescription Health Products Directorate (NNHPD) issued Natural Health Product Licensing Bulletin No. 9 on Mars 11, 2026, to formalize the review order of product licence applications (PLAs) amid high application volumes. To ensure a fair and transparent process, the NNHPD has transitioned to a workload management approach where applications are prioritized based on specific eligibility dates rather than just the original submission date. For PLAs submitted before Décembre 15, 2025, the review order is determined by the date the Workload Management Form was submitted; if multiple applications share that date, the original receipt date is used as a tie-breaker. For all applications received on or after Décembre 15, 2025—the date when prioritization attestations were integrated directly into the PLA form—the review order is strictly based on the date of receipt.
